Restaurant customers voted Nili, located in Rovaniemi, as the Taste of Finland Restaurant for 2012. The second was Slottskrogen, the restaurant at Svartå Manor in Raseborg, and third was Bistro O mat in Kirkkonummi.

The “Niko 2 – Little Brother, Big Trouble” 3D film, that had its world premiere in Rovaniemi on 1 October 2012, has now been turned into a mobile game. In the game you get to fly with the reindeer Niko in spectacular winter scenery where wooden signs show the way to Rovaniemi.

According to Lonely Planet, Rovaniemi, Santa Claus’ official home town, is the best winter destination in Europe. The article, published yesterday, listed visiting Santa Claus in the Arctic Circle, snow and reindeer as Rovaniemi’s strengths. Arktikum was mentioned, too.
