NIB finances road infrastructure in Rovaniemi

The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) and the city of Rovaniemi in northern Finland have signed a EUR 10 million loan agreement for an investment programme in local road infrastructure to be implemented in the time period 2012–2015.

According to Lonely Planet, Rovaniemi, Santa Claus’ official home town, is the best winter destination in Europe. The article, published yesterday, listed visiting Santa Claus in the Arctic Circle, snow and reindeer as Rovaniemi’s strengths. Arktikum was mentioned, too.
