I’m looking for an apartment in Rovaniemi to rent but didn’t find a site on the web
Where can I buy good maps, for hiking in the national parks of Lapland or the maps GT and the road map Napapiiri in Rovaniemi or Kemi?
I’m just wondering why Rovaniemi is the "city of eight seasons"? And can you recommend some page to me where I can find more photos of Rovaniemi?
I would like to know, where I can look for a bus schedule - around Rovaniemi and surroundings of Lapland as well.

There are quite many websites that offer rental flats at Rovaniemi. Unfortunately those sites are mainly only in Finnish.

You can find hiking maps from several places at Rovaniemi.
Etiäinen - customer services of Metsähallitus at Rovaniemi gives information of hiking on national parks and other Metsähallitus hiking areas at Lapland and whole Finland. Especially maps for Napapiiri hiking area at Rovaniemi.
Map Center of Finland has also webpages and web shop for different kinds of maps. They have all the information concerning Finnish maps.

At Rovaniemi city centre there are many book shops. For example Suomalainen Kirjakauppa and Kirjakassi are both located in Revontuli shopping centre. Also Super Markets (Prisma and Citymarket) have books and maps.
I’m just wondering why Rovaniemi is the "city of eight seasons"? Of course, the midsummer and kaamos...but that are still just six then. Would be nice if you can explain that to me =) And can you recommend some page to me where I can find more photos of Rovaniemi? Thank you very much!
Northern culture is a part of nature. The rhythm of nature and the seasons create very important rhythm for life. The time has divided into eight periods, autumn-winter, winter, spring-winter, spring, spring-summer, summer, autumn-summer, autumn. These seasons have own names characterizing the season.

Pictures can be found from media services of the webpages (on the right top of the webpage there is a word MEDIA). The page has a lot of different kind of material and pictures from the city, Santa Claus, nature and so on. Terms and conditions of the pictures are also informed on the page. You will need to fill the registration form before you can down load copy of the material from the media services. Bus schedules at the city centre can be found from Rovaniemi.fi English webpages from City-info part. Timetables are in English. Direct link to the bus timetables.
Rovaniemi City mapservice shows the lines of the buses at the centre of the city. Remember to choose theme Bus route (Bussireitit) from the map.
Bus lines are numbered from 1 to 14. From the map you can find the route and from timetable link the timetable for every route. Tickets can be bought from buses and bus-station.
Because Rovaniemi is a large city long-distance coaches travels to the different parts of Rovaniemi area as well as to the towns of Lapland. Long-distance coaches’ timetables you can find from Matkahuolto services.
