Going to the Movies in Rovaniemi Finnkino The Maxim Cinema (auditoriums I and II) at the Sampokeskus is operated by the Finnkino movie theatre chain.   Cinema Film Club The Cinema Film Club presents series of movies during its spring and autumn screening seasons. The screenings take place usually at 7:30 pm at Wiljami (address: Urheilukatu 1). The film club also organizes Finnish Film Archive screenings in Rovaniemi and is involved in other cinema-related events and special screenings. Minikino Minikino is a film club for children under the age of seven. The films are screened at four libraries once a month.  Arctic Fury Movie and Media Festival The Arctic Fury Movie and Media Festival takes place during late October and early November. The most interesting films of the North are presented at the festival, and filmmakers assemble to discuss annual themes. Educational activities for filmmakers from Lapland are organized in connection with the festival, as well as workshops for different target-groups; seminars and contests are also arranged.  Arktikum is the main festival venue, but you are likely to run into festival events all over town. Film screenings for school children are arranged elsewhere in Lapland as well.
