Hei everyone! Welcome back to another blog! It´s Krystel! Miten teillä menee? Hope everyone´s doing great! In this blog, I am going to talk about 2 days from the past 2 weeks focusing primarily on Wednesday November 7 2018 and Wednesday November 14 2018. I think by far this is going to be the shortest blog I ever did but I hope you guys will still enjoy it anyways! !So without further ado let´s get started!

So on November 7 2018 I worked at the Red Cross with the Women’s Club. That day was really exciting for me because Mervi a co worker had planned a special fitness outing to Santasport for the women of the Women’s Club and this was going to be my first time ever going there! For those of you who don’t know what Santasport Lapin Urheiluopisto is: it is a Finnish sports and leisure center and a national sports training center. It is part of the Sports Academy in Lapland.

Mervi, the women from the Women’s Club and I went there to participate in a Bodybalance session led by a professional. Bodybalance for those of you who don’t know is a yoga-based class that embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates which is meant to strengthen your entire body and leave you clam and centered. During bodybalance an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves, Tai Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises.

It was my first time joining a body balance class! Some of the exercises were a little hard for me because they required more strength and flexibility but they were really worthwhile as they showed me on which areas of my body I had to work on! The playlist that the instructor played was phenomenal and really put me in a great zen mood! I recommend it for people that are looking to exercise and release stress at the same time! You will be left energized stretched and peacefully relaxed!

On Wednesday November 14 2018 I also happened to work at the Red Cross with the Women’s Club. For that day we made an excursion to various thrift shops and stores! One of the coolest coincidences was that it was the birthday of one of the women! My favorite part of the day was when we went to SPR Kontti which is a second hand store run by the Red Cross where donated clothes, goods and furniture are sold. The money is then used to fund and support the Finnish Red Cross. Over there I bought a nice warm silky pink scarf that was very cheap! I’m very happy to know that the money I spent is going to be used for a good and greater cause surely helping someone in need!
